August Sunflowers
Agathe and Opal have been taking good care of their their sunflowers…
.
.
… they climb up to the tops once a week or so to measure their gigantic hugeness!!!
.
.
It is quite a way to the top these days…
.
.
The twins had a hard time measuring the tallest one, but the human helped determine it is currently 2.82 m (17 Hittys) tall!
.
.
…and look!!! The other one has topped out at 2 m 18 cm, and has produced a glorious flower!!
.
.
The bees are very excited about the sunflower flower…
.
.
We are running out of superlatives!

supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!!
Well! That is certainly an impressive superlative!
Sumptous sunflowers surprise small someones simply sharing superior strength, stamina and superiority of stature. But, we thank them for these beautiful blossoms that they share with us!
We have fun in the garden, and we are glad to invite you along – we love sharing all the beautiful blossoms and surprises!
Those sunflowers are gorgeous! I did not plant any giant sunflowers this year, but my Jerusalem artichokes (related to sunflowers, with similar blooms) look promising.
We were surprised at the sunflowers – they tower over us and the tallest one is up above the roof line! The are impressively huge and magical. I didn’t know that Jerusalem Artichoke flowers were related!
Well done Agathe and Opal, they are beautiful. And well done to the humans for their help.
It’s always fun to see the flowers grow, but this has been unexpected and gigantically beautiful!
Hurray – they are here! It’s been fun to see the progress and anticipate their opening along with the ladies!
