This is Hitty Patience, the fourth Hitty made by me. I carved her in Oregon, at a doll-carving workshop taught by Janet Cordell. Janet is a marvelous teacher! Patience was finished on April 25th, 2012. On her very first day of existence I took her down to a cove on the Oregon Coast and sat her in a vug. You may have already met Patience, (mostly in the Oregon and Kimono blogs) but I have written her mini biography here so she can go into the “The Hittys” page in my blog.
The vug was much enhanced by Patience’s presence!
Thank you! Those volcanic rocks were riddled with vugs, it was a fun expedition altogether.
I can see she has real character. It will be fun to see how it expresses itself over the next while, on these pages and in ‘real life” too.
She seems to be just as adventurous as the rest of the Hittys. Just now she is hanging around with Gracia and Zipporah on the lazy susan.
