This is Zipporah, the fifth wooden doll made by me. I carved her in Oregon, at a doll-carving workshop taught by Janet Cordell. Zipporah has brown hair, an 1840’s hairstyle, a ladylike silhouette, and wears pearls (not coral beads).
Zipporah was finished on April 28th, 2012. On her very first day of existence We drove down the Oregon Coast, stopping in Falcon Cove, lost Creek and Florence.
Zipporah went to live with my good friend the Dollhouse Lady in the winter of 2017. She loves her new friends and enjoys her elegant surroundings.
She is so lovely. What a great doll 🙂
She is a good influence on the younger bouncier members of the Quimper Hitty clan.
The details are exquisite!
Thank you. Zipporah is only sorry that her pearls don’t show in this picture.
