Apple Pip in February
February has been wet and windy, and there hasn’t seemed to be anything much going on. Pip has put off climbing the Apple tree until the last possible minute…
Pip has found the buds are turning a little red, so something is going on in the depths of the sap.
.
.
This bud is swelling up! Pip us damp and chilly, but encouraged by the signs of life in the big old tree.

We are glad February is almost over, and this morning for the first time we heard the “Cheerio” song of a Robin…spring must be on the way!

Very cute photos of spring arriving. Pip seems very excited by the very idea of spring.
She is not the only one!
Pip looks like a little apple there amongst the twigs!
Yes, just a little pip of a thing!
I love to see Pip each month examining the apple tree. She is such a cutie!
Pip was cold and wet yesterday, and is looking forward to warmer, drier (and brighter) days.
Isn’t the growth of trees/plants fascinating? Thanks for bringing us closer to some of the natural action, Pip!
It is amazing to think that that little bud will turn into a huge apple, or a clump of leaves.
First signs of Spring are always something to look forward to – The old Apple Tree is going to be very pretty again, covered with leaves and blooms. Pip is going to be very pleased.
Yes, with heavenly scented blossoms and birds singing in the branches!
It’s very nice to see that Pip is getting along fine in the apple tree – I had to worry on some of those cold frosty days that things might not be too good for apple Pips.
The frost bites yes, but the wild winds made Pip more anxious. All’s well now, we even had sunshine yesterday.
