Wallflowers
Mary Ann and Eugenia are thinking sympathetic thoughts about Wallflowers…
They are amazed to see them growing in little cracks in the bedrock…
.
.
…and at the edges of mossy garden walls.
.
.
Despite their shyness, there is an amazing variety of yellow, orange and red, once you get to know the flowers…
.
.
They both admire the colourful early blossoms…
.
.
and marvel at their persistence in rocky places both wild and tame.

those flowers are nearly as sweet as dear Eugenia and Mary Ann. Wall flowers? A new one for me and very welcome information. They are beautiful..those colors!! Esp. against the gray of the stone walls and cliffs. Thank
you for introducing these to me. And thank you for a look at your dear little girls.
They are my dear little girls, and very fond of flowers. We went for a very nice walk last evening and the wallflowers were everywhere and the girls photogenic as ever!.
A really beautiful post, and how lovely Eugenia and Mary Ann appreciate the wall flowers so much. The flowers are so pretty and as you say strong and persistent. The wonders of nature.
The wallflowers are often overlooked in favour of their showier neighbours, but we like them!
What beautiful flowers. I always say that hittys and flowers go together !!
They really do. And Mary Ann and Eugenia seem to be in a flower-hunting mood!
