November Gardening
Opal and Agathe have decided to become gardeners after acquiring a Tulip flower kit from Holland.
…A compost pellet is soaked in water…
…some compost shovelled into the bottom of the bowl and bulbs wedged in…
…more compost shovelled on top…
…now put it in a cool place and…wait….
…for ten weeks!

What a wonderful idea! How perfect to have blossoms in deep midwinter…. I must do this! Thank you for the inspiration!
That’s exactly what I thought…Tulips in January will be very welcome!
Beautiful photos..will be eager to see how the garden fares in 10 weeks since there was such diligence going on with capable wooden hands.
If hopefulness and enthusiasm have anything to do with it, the little garden will be very very pretty!
TEN weeks! No Hitty is that patient! I’ll bet they will be up to something by the end of the day!
I fear they may have to be distracted with other projects in the meantime…
it is so hard to be patient.
Yes – patience is not a very obvious attribute in these particular Hittys.
Ahhh tulips!! Love them. We plant some in the flower beds every fall…..love those blooms in the spring. I really like that gardening apron, complete with HItty size tools!! Fun photos as always.
We like that apron too – got it from a Hitty friend! We have hopes for the tulips, and think the blooms will be very cheering in the dead of winter!
