Layers
It is chilly and cool. Opal and Agathe didn’t feel much like getting out of bed in the morning…
…until the warm new petticoats were finished.
.
.
The petticoats were not only warm, but comfy…
.
.
…and almost too pretty to cover up!
.
.
Opal and Agathe were warm at last…
.
.
…but climbed back into bed to snuggle with their hedgehog.
The twins decided that knitted petticoats are pretty nice after all.

How does one “snuggle” with a hedgie? Layers, indeed! The new petticoats turned out splendidly and suit the girls so well. We’re still stitching on ours…
I imagine one has to pet the hedgehog carefully, with the prickle nap and not against it. Perhaps wrapping it in a blanket helps?
so fantastic –now i am totally addicted to your posts 🙂 xoo
I am glad of your visits! Your blog is interesting too!
The twins look so warm and cozy in their new petticoats. Red is their color for sure. First time I noticed the sweet little lace anklets… how pretty!!!! Opal and Agathe always put a smile on my face.
They love red, and orange, and green, and… actually they love lots of colours, but I think you are right, red is very fetching!
I think that I would like a knitted petticoat for myself! 🙂 Looking forward to seeing more of the Twins’ new friend!
I wish I had one too, but I think I’ll stick to Hitty and Hitty sleeping-bag-knittings for now.
Your petticoats turned out beautifully….just in time for that snuggling session. When one is in bed with a “pincushion”, one must be prepared.
Definitely, the twins are prepared for snuggling, prickles or no prickles. They love their petticoats! I love them too, it has been a fun project!
those petticoats are so snuggly and pretty. How talented the Quimper Human is!! The girls looks quite happy.
They are so happy! I am glad I persuaded them to try the petticoats on, now they are very comfortable and warm!
are you taking orders?? I’d like a me size one, red is lovely, blue would be fine, too!
