The smallest member of the human family had a goodbye cup of tea with Hattie, after which she and her parents drove off to their house four hours away.
Rest
…Hattie and Dulcie collapsed on the balcony for a while!
Temporary
Then the girls gathered together a few items needing repair…
Dress-up
…Hattie put the princess clothes back into the dress-up box…
Magic cats
…Buttercup extracted the magic cats from under the bed…
Sweep
…and Hattie swept the cake crumbs off it.
Empty
The house is definitely tidier, but it seems quiet…
ahhh the post holiday sighs…I laughed at the Magic Cats hiding under the bed…that is exactly what our NON magic cats do when confronted with small humans….in fact we have a large non magic dog who does the same thing except he tends to hide behind me!! Love the photos of the girls tidying up in the aftermath of Hurricane Small Human!!
Ah…. the joys of small humans who bring magic and delight with them- there is usually a certain amount of clean up time after the visit is over and the magic dust settles. They leave such happiness behind in their wake….
Yes – and bracing for it! Some things have to be put away for the duration, (like the glass-fronted cabinet) until she is still enthusiastic, but more gentle.

I always knew cats were magical – but I had forgotten until small human reminded me!

Yes, happy dust – another concept identified and described.- thanks!
Awwww- what delight!
Smallest human is adorable!
We certainly think so, but I know I am biased!
Laughed, and A-w-w-w-w-ed. Sweet and Poignantly adorable.
We miss her when she is away, and enjoy her when she visits…
I can relate-4 hours away is where one of our grandchildren reside…actually, the closest one at this point!
It’s great to see that the Hittys have rested and recuped. Their wooden pegs just keep on going.
They do keep on going – and don’t mind that occasionally their pegs or elastics need adjustment after a visit!
ahhh! now that the magic dust has settled and repairs have been done you can start planning the next visit.
