Waffles 2017
Patience got out the cutlery…
and set the table beautifully…
…so the little girls could have a special breakfast!
She didn’t forget Aurelia, recuperating in bed.

Happy Waffle Day to everyone!
This is one of the Quimper Hittys favourite celebrations, involving delicious food, and originating in a Swedish Mondegreen.

Oh! We may need to celebrate waffle day today, or possibly tomorrow! ๐ I love the chest of lovely silverware. Amazing!
Any excuse for waffles, I say! The little knife tray was given to us by a Hitty friend – we love it! I painted the chest in 2009.
We had a waffle festival yesterday, and the whole family sends their thanks for a fine tradition! We plan to carry it on ๐
Ah, Patience, how very kind, thoughtful and fun you’ve made the day.
Patience is a darling – kind and considerate. The Hittys (and humans) love having her around.
Great to see the little blue dishes getting to be in the spotlight. Looks delightful!
“The Butler Did It” in Arch Cape is now my favourite antique store, I was so excited to find dishes that exactly matched the ones from my grandmother’s set!
Patience is as thoughtful and kind as she is pretty.( I think she is very pretty) bringing Aurelia waffles in bed. Love seeing little Gilly, Min and buttercup helping to set the table for this yummy feast…and what a pretty table it is right down to those little folded cloth napkins. So welcoming.
We think Patience is pretty too! We all like a specially set table – those napkins are little linen squares, fancy-folded!
what wonderful photos. I love the vintage dishes and it is indeed a very pretty table setting. And that wonderful little waffle!! Another pleasant day in Quimper land!
Nice for Aurelia to get a treat as she was recuperating! We just adore those blue dishes – the chipped old-looking ones from my grandma, and the shiny (probably re-painted) ones from lucky happenstance while visiting friends in Oregon!
