Tansy visits the Gordon Islands 2018
After Tansy and the other guests visited S’Gaang Gwaii, the Passing Cloud anchored in the nearby Gordon Islands for the night.
.
.
After dinner they toured around the islands in the zodiac to see the rocks and the sunset…
.
.
…before returning to the sailboat to sleep.
.
.
Next morning they explored around on shore…
.
…and Tansy sat in an abalone shell. It would make a fine boat if it didn’t have so many siphon holes!
.
.
One of the guests gave her a wee feather…
.
.
…and she found some purple-hinged scallop shells!
.
.
Then Tansy scrambled up a rock, past a couple of turban snails…
.
.
…and a few plants…
.
.
…and some lichen…
.
.
…up to the top where she visited with some naturally bonsai-ed little trees. They talked in creaky twisty voices about wind and salt and dark and stormy winter nights.
.
.
After a little rest amongst the cinquefoil, Tansy headed back down the rock…
.
.
…to the zodiac, so she and the guests could return to Passing Cloud to sail off to the next adventure.

Tansy will be sooooooo Zen when she comes back home from such a peaceful quiet time in nature, she may have a hard time re-adapting!!! But she’ll have a mind and heart full of great memories…and so will we!!! Thanks for taking us along…this is my “escape” this year!
Tansy learns a lot in Haida Gwaii, not least how to live at peace with Mother Nature (easier in summer mind you!). I am so glad you could accompany her on her adventure
Reading Tansy’s narratives as they arrive, is like going to a lovely library and finding a picture book (with dolls of course) and settling down to a really good story, learning adventure and pleasant time all wrapped in one very warm adventure…that has only taken a few clicks on the computer to get to….WEALTH. Thank you.
We love it that you can come on this journey with us, learning and exploring – going to interesting places and sharing with friends – we think it is a good way to live a life.
Oh, I just this week chatted with a granddaughter about talking to trees! I am sure an explorer like Tansy can speak many dialects and join the conversation in a creaky twisty voice speaking about “wind and salt and dark and stormy winter nights.”
Something magical happens when a wooden doll is speaking to trees, I think we humans could learn a lot, if only we could hear them!
what a magical place. Tansy is an excellent guide to this land of wonderful vistas and magical thinking.
It is magic! Tansy has soaked quite a bit of it up, and is quite a willing sharer of knowledge…we are all lucky!
