The Rain is Raining
On a wet west coast winter day…
.
.
…The Rain is raining all around…
.
.
…it falls on field…
.
.
…and tree,
.
.
It rains on our umbrellas here…
.
.
…and on the ships at sea.
.
.
Vanilla enjoyed the rain for a while, but then she fell into a puddle…
.
.
…so Rose warmed her up in a fluffy towel and Patience carried her clothes off to the laundry!
.
“The rain is raining” poem is by Robert Louis Stevenson.

A walk outdoors, taking in the beauty of our planet, no matter what the weather holds, is only surpassed by the welcoming of a loving family on ones return. Vanilla is a very blessed hitty.
We do enjoy our visits to the fields, trees and puddles in our neighbourhood…and love returning to our human, feline and Hitty family…our life is full of small goodness, thank goodness!
I totally agree with Mary Anne. It’s wonderful that Vanilla has such caring hands to welcome her back home, dunked in water though she was.
She was dunked! her dress clung damply to her wooden limbs, but like the original Hitty – she emerged from the puddle and was borne back to her family, who dried her off and showered her with affection.
oh, stay warm Vanilla. Hopefully Rose made you a nice hot cup of cocao.
Vanilla stayed snug in her towel/blanket until her dress was washed clean of mud, dried and pressed…she did sip some restorative warming liquids!
So lovely to have caring sisters to help one recover from an unexpected dunking! Love the rainy day photos.
That was Vanilla’s first experience in the rain…and though it was quite nice to be treated with extra concern and kindness after her adventure, I don’t think she will be in a big hurry to repeat it!
Lovely
Thank you very much – it was a wet afternoon!
