Astronomy
The block twins have a new textbook about their favourite subject…
.
.
…and are using it to try and identify celestial features…
.
.
…isn’t the Cosmos just a wonderful thing!
.
.
They climbed up to try and get a better view…
.
.
…and the wonder of it all…
.
.
….rendered them temporarily speechless…
.
.
…now they want to study Botany too!!
.
.
Enjoyed your duality of cosmos flowers and the universe. Beautiful and clever as usual.
The Block twins do have a way of conflating concepts – often in a delightful way…maybe it comes from being made by two different people out of the same block of 40,000-year-old wood! I love it when they get out into the universe and start noticing it!
Yes, as always, a joy to read your airy narratives.
We find joy in small things…six-and-a-half inches is one of our favourite sizes of entertainment!
I think they should point their telescope at my neighbour’s Magnolia Stellata!
They would probably enjoy a trip to the antipodes, although the position of the stars would not be familiar since the pole has wandered about quite a lot in the last 40,000 years: http://curious.astro.cornell.edu/physics/111-observational-astronomy/stargazing/general-questions/676-how-different-would-the-night-sky-have-looked-in-40-000-b-c-intermediate
They would have some interesting new constellations to look at, too, particularly Crux and Centaurus. And of course, the Milky Way is MUCH brighter!
That is exceedingly clever and sweet… their little face upturned to the “cosmos” is just great!!
They are Hittys of wonder and delight – they turn their faces towards the curious and the fun things in their lives, and I can only follow along and join in their wondering wanderings!
