  1. I wish that was available in Human sizes, I’d snap it up in a flash. Rainwear is a balancing act in the tropics, though. Sometimes, in a hot monsoon, you’re just as wet inside as you are outside the raincoat!

  2. Your Raincoat sewing adventure is inspiring as always. From the photos it looks as though the beautiful fabric has a waterproof coating on it. We don’t have much winter rain in florida but summer brings rain coupled with plenty of heat.
After a long hiatus I have put the final stitches into a group of beautiful summer dresses inspired by your Summer Dress Sewing Bee posts. Thank you again for such detailed directions. The dresses improved as my hand sewing skills became more refined.
As we slip into warmer weather it is time to put away the wool sweaters and begin knitting some cotton sweaters for the coming air conditioning season. I’ve chosen some valdani threads that will compliment the now finished summer dresses.

    • I’m so glad you’ve found the sewing bee information helpful! Your Hittys must be happy too – more pretty dresses for all! The raincoat fabric does have a waterproof coating on it, but it is still very soft and flexible. I’ll be making a few more raincoats, we do need them here!
