The Hitty’s Camping Adventure
Lavender, Carrot Soup and Scarlett went on a backpacking adventure through Strathcona Park!!!!!
.
.
Part of the time they walked…
.
.
…and part of the time they rode in the fanny pack along with an emergency poncho and snacks!!
.
.
On the boardwalk part of the trail they saw a sign, (Lavender thought it was funny that the person on the sign was “tripping” over a screw)…
.
.
…but the sign explained that part of the trail would be wheelchair accessible.
.
.
They parked at the top right of the map, and then hiked all the way to Lake Helen Mackenzie where they set up their tents!
.
.
In the morning there was frost…
.
.
…but they warmed themselves up with pancakes made by smallest human’s dad!
.
.
Then they put their food away in the food cache, safe from bears!
.
.
It was a beautiful morning…
.
.
…the humans went on a lovely hike…
.
.
…they stopped at Kwai Lake for a rest…
.
.
…walked farther along the path…
.
.
…and arrived at Lake Beautiful which earned its name a million times over.
.
.
The Humans walked so far that Carrot Soup had to tend to the blisters…
.
.
…and even the Hittys needed a rest after all that adventuring!
.
.
When they got back to camp they were so tired that they lay down…
.
.
…and gazed at the sky.
.
.
What an amazing adventure!

That looks a beautiful place!
It does look beautiful! I have never been there, but the youngest human is full of praises, so we shall see…
Lindy and `I have a list of places we would like to visit but it keeps growing faster than we tick them off!
Hittys have so much fun! Youngest human, thank you so much for a beautiful hike and journey.
Youngest human took many photos – with and without Hittys!
How lovely
It surely was – lucky Hittys and humans!
Loved them all, this camping adventure seems so exciting and enjoyable, Thank you, Love, nia
And luckily they didn’t encounter any bears!
A true adventure! How wise to have Carrot Soup on Blister Duty. The wildness of the wilderness in the Americas is too wild for me; I’d need to sleep in the bear safe along with the vitals.
Vitals… haaaaa! Vittles. Victuals. Food.
The adventuring Hittys were as alarmed about woodpeckers as the humans were about bears! But they only saw and heard Whisky Jacks and Loons, and many kinds of insects!
They were tired after all the walking, but in a good way!
