February’s end

Snowdrops

On the last day of February, Coriander and Floradora visited the garden…

.

.

Guardian

…Bluberry gave them permission to use the cat trail to the front of the house…

.

.

Scilla

… where we planted Scilla all over the place, but only this clump survived! We’ll try again because we really like this flower!

.

.

Anemone and primrose

The lace edged primrose is doing it’s best to flower, and the anemones are suceeding…

.

.

Elder

…and we have hopes that the elder twigs will take…

.

.

Crocus

…these surprise crocus flowers came in the pot with our ginkgo tree at least 12 years ago…

.

.

Daffodils

…and I bought these mini daffodils just last week!

.

.

Saxifrage

…how we love the signs of spring in our garden!

      • I bought a bunch daffodils each time I shopped for a couple of weeks and really enjoyed seeing them but then the ones cam out in the garden and I stopped. I think there are enough now to pick a few.

    • Thank you – it is such a relief to have spring flowers re-emerging, and yes, thankfully Blueberry was feeling magnanimous so we could take a shortcut to the front flower beds!

    • It is cheerful – I have planted things in places where we can see them from the windows because the days can be so wet and dark, it’s nice to see the plants persevering and flowering.
