May Maunderings…
What have the Quimper Hittys been doing? Malarkey has been helping me with a giant (though also very small) sewing project. It’s now complete and on the way to it’s destination…

…and Floradora has been working on a knitting project with me. I was given a skein of beautiful wool for my birthday – it was hand spun by a friend in colours she knew I would like!

May is a glorious time in the Quimper garden. Yesterday Henrietta and I planted some zinnias around the edges of my vegetable patch. One of my dear Hitty friends (you may have read her comments under “dogsdolls”) died suddenly, and I still can hardly believe it. She had told me only a week or so ago that her grandmother used to plant zinnias around her vegetable patch, so I am doing that in memory of her. Goodbye my dear friend.

And Constance (and the human) have been suffering with a week-long dreadful lurgy followed by days of coughing. Constance is glad to report that the lovely Hitty quilt from Australia is very effective in a cosy and cheery-uppy way.

I am so sorry that your friend passed suddenly. I am sending her blessings on her journey and holding you in my heart as you grieve her death. Huge hugs! And, I hope that you recover quickly from the dreaded lurgy! More hugs….. ❤
