Two Sunny Sunflowers
A friend recently brought some sunflower seeds home from a visit to Japan…
.
.
…we put the seedlings into a planter box right next to the Quimper Hitty human’s house where it gets lots of sunlight and warmth, and hopefully will be far enough away from the menacing squirrels!
.
.
They look happy so far…
.
.
…it’s so exciting to watch plants grow!
.
.

I love sunflowers. The critters always eat mine.
Drat about the critters! We hope the proximity to the house (and cats!) will encourage the squirrels to forage elsewhere!
Sending the sunflowers best wishes for successful growing! I so love sunflowers!
I love them too (and they make me think of your wonderful crochet blanket)!
I love how the seedlings already exceed Hitty height.
The twins hope they will grow enormous!!! We await their increase with bated breath…there were no instructions nor information about what they might become. Mysterious sunflowers, yeah!
It is indeed fun to watch plants grow, and sunflowers are especially fun as they grow so quickly. Note to squirrels: please give these tender plants a chance. Hello to the twins.
The twins are ever optimistic about the garden – and they plan to measure them and watch them grow some more – the sunflowers are in the warmest spot in the garden, so they hope they will grow big too! If course they might be a small variety – we shall have to wait and see!
How exciting to have a mystery variety from somewhere a long way away! I have grown a few sunflowers this year for the first time in ages but I know mine are dwarf ones!
