Gráinne and Constance are finding out about some of the hazards of the journey south…Port Angeles, for example, has a dangerous Roctopus on the waterfront.

The girls were somewhat alarmed by this sign…
…but in fact the logs on this beach seemed rather tame.
- Standing by to repel boarders
Ready to protect their vessel, they stood by to repel boarders, but no one dared challenge them.

Oh, a Rocktopuss! That’s a fearsome creature!
It was made by Girl Scouts! Gráinne and Constance found it much more alarming than the beach logs.
Such lucky Hittys to be able to visit Port Angeles and Portland! Well worth braving Rocktopi and errant beach logs!
They have been having a lovely trip, and enjoying the food and the company!

We all wondered why logs are so dangerous in Washington State that people (and dolls) have to be specially wary of them.
The Rocktopuss looks quite frightening – the girls are brave. Looks like they had lots of fun.
They did have fun!
