Tansy on a Passing Cloud
Tansy and her favourite photographer have just returned from weeks away on the North Coast of British Columbia…the photographer was hired as a visiting expert on a schooner, and Tansy went along to keep him company. They both had proper rain gear, which was very useful, especially on the first part of the trip! Tansy thought this was a very boring view, and was eager to start the fun part of the adventure.
The fun part of this adventure started with a float plane ride…
…on a Beaver float plane from the Inland Air Company.
Peter the pilot executed a flawless take-off and landing…
Taxiing before take off was exciting!!
The plane passed over the town of Sandspit…
Tansy approved of the Hitty-sized seatbelt…
…but really preferred to look out the window where she could see the view…
…which included parts of South Moresby Island in Gwaii Haanas National Park…
…low tide on the flats…
…millions of trees…
…and finally the schooner which would be her home for the next few weeks.
Once aboard the Passing Cloud, Tansy lounged while the next group of passengers was transferred over.
Tansy is a very lucky Hitty! To see such beauty! Oh my! Thank you- the photographs are breathtaking!
Tansy was glad her schedule had a gap in it so she could travel to one of her favourite places in the world!
Tansy is a very lucky HItty to have such wonderful adventures!
Truly lucky – Tansy found the trip very educational and lots of fun!
What an adventurous spirit Tansy has! It seems she’s in the right family who seem to be full of that same spirit. Lovely sharing of this part of the journey. Thank you.
I think Tansy is glad to live in the Quimper Hitty cupboard, (except when she’s out adventuring) and we are certainly glad she’s one of us…she does come back with amazing tales to tell!
Seriously, am I losing it? Have I been bumped on my head? Tansy is calmly looking out the window in “water rushing by” and has a completely different facial expression in the seatbelt shot…like she knows this is serious business. I am riveted waiting for more of this adventure with her favorite photographer.
The expressions of the Quimper Hittys do change, depending on the lighting, and the angle and the context. We are often amazed and amused!
Well, it’s an adventure I’d love to be taking, too. Thank you again for letting all of us share! Billie
I’d love have been there too!
This has been the greatest!! Tansy in the seat belt position….too much!! Loving the scenery and the adventure. Thank you for taking us all along.
Tansy is always happy when off on an adventure, but we love it when they come back!
Tansy is great company to take on a trip and has been to Haida Gwaii 5 times now, if I have not lost count.
On this voyage there were several people on board that had read the Hitty book when they were young and immediately recognized, and appreciated, the spirit of adventure that is ingrained in all Hittys. Tansy felt in good company.
