Snowy Day!
The Quimper Hitty cupboard is located in Victoria, BC, where we rarely get any snow in the winter. When we do there is a mad scramble for coats and sweaters. The Quimper Hittys were ecstatic to see that it snowed last night!!!
Opal and Min ran out with the sled…
but Agathe, Rose and Amelia found other things to do.
Opal gave Min a push…
…and Min zipped down the slope…
…while Amelia climbed the coral bark Japanese Maple Tree.
Opal gave Min another push…
…while Agathe shoveled a path for the postman.
Min went down again!
Meanwhile Rose made sure the birdies suet cage was full…
…and then the Hittys were ready to go in for a snack too!
No doubt this is a laughable amount of snow compared to the rest of the continent, but the Quimper Hittys have totally enjoyed their snow day! It will likely be back to normal (rain and more rain) soon, but at the end of today they were refreshed and replete!
.
Oh! La! La! What fun!!!! The woodens in our cabinet decided they should make good of all the snow we have here!!! Small pleasures are the best, aren’t they???? Thanks for sharing!
The kids all love it when it snows around here, but the adults less so because of ending up doing lots of shoveling and sliding around in cars!
How completely and utterly enchanting! Happy snow day to you! 🙂
It was a delightful day actually, especially since I didn’t have to go anywhere, and could enjoy the snow from a Hitty point of view!
No matter the weather, the QHs always make the best of it. It looks like it was a fulfilling time for all.
They all had fun, though they rather regretted the fact that there was a thick crust of ice – no snowballs could be made or snow-persons stacked.
wonderful photos, looks like the Hitty humans had just as much fun as the girls. They do look cozy in their winter woolies.
I did! The girls were hardier than I was, though they have suddenly asked me to find their mittens – we use them very seldom, and they are very small!
Min’s warm coat is just the thing for a snowy day. It’s Darling!
Thank you! Min loves it a lot, and wants the snow to last and last so she can wear it every day!
my oh my the girls really enjoyed their day. Love the photos of them outside in the snow and the wonderful cozy scene of the girls in their basket having a snack.
Even though the humans in the party were getting a little chilled, we endured the freezing wind and frost nips because the Hittys were enjoying the chilly frolic, we were all glad to get inside again!
