Purple In May
With a bonnet (because it was sunny), and shawl (because it was chilly), Rose visited the back garden. She sniffed the Lilacs….
…and the Rhododendron…
.
.
…and the Fancy Onion.
Guess which one smelled the best?

Oh! So beautiful! The new bonnets are delightful and the flowers are gorgeous!
We were especially impressed with the onions, which we acquired last year, but which didn’t bloom till this!
Rose, you look so ethereal today. Your bonnet is lovely and your walk and finds are stunning.
Rose thanks you – she is especially happy with her pink straw bonnet, and wanted to wear it in the garden, even though it doesn’t especially go with wooly shawls!
I’ll guess the lilacs smelled the best!
You were right! Alt least according to the human and wooden noses in the Hitty cupboard’s garden….
Rose looks so lovely in her shawl and pink bonnet. The Quimper human must have a green thumb to grow such pretty flowers!
I actually think my thumbs are as purple as the flowers, but so far these blooms have survived my ministrations!
