October Berries
Patience wore her blue raincoat…
…it was pouring this morning, and windy this afternoon!
…there seem to be a lot of berries around here this October…
.
.
…these ones match Patience’s raincoat!
.
.
…and these ones are special to Hittys!
.
.
Purple is quite an autumnal colour, we think!
Looks like there will be enough holly for many Christmas Puddings…
.
.
…but even with a snowberry, we are not quite ready to think of winter yet!!
Thanks to you, Patience, for taking us on a walk with such varied and marvelous looking berries. How generous of the bushes/trees to share them.
The birds are particularly happy with the generous trees and bushes – we love looking at them, but they are sustained by them during the frosty winters!
Gorgeous photos…the berries are just luminous. Patience is a delightful guide.
the berries always surprise us – especially the purple ones!
What colors – that purple is unbelievable! And that is a great color for a raincoat!
The purple ones on a stick are called Beautyberry, the blue and purple ones on a vine are Porcelain Berries…I made the raincoat out of an old street banner, I just couldn’t resist that blue!
