Quince Jam
Hattie enjoys sitting in our quince sapling. Having been well watered all during the hot summer, it is now going dormant for the winter. Next year we hope to have fruit from our own tree…

.
…but this year we acquired some lovely quinces from a relative, and Hattie helped to transform the fruit
.
.
…into jam!!
There was one very small Hitty-sized pot of jam, a few medium-sized petite-pots, and a some large ones. We are experimenting with a beeswax infused cloth cover for the petite-pots of jam. They are made by the Abeego company here in Victoria. Click here for a link to this company’s website.

Hattie, you and the human send us such comforting, homey episodes. Thanks for sharing the sweetness of home with us.
We just love Quince jam, and we are always glad of Hitty help!!! Hattie is quite a dab hand in the kitchen!
Hattie is bundled up so beautifully in her woolens. What a lot of jam! So much hard work. Hattie and her human are to be complimented!
Why thank you (*blush blush*). Hattie was chilly in her morning stroll (and her climb up the tree) but didn’t quite need a winter coat today.
