Snow!
What a difference a day makes – after a proverbial deluge lasting for days and days, overnight it all turned to snow!!
.
.
Carrot Soup bundled up…
.
.
…and found a frozen puddle!
.
.
Min pulled Gilly on the sled…
.
.
…and they found a snowman!
.
.
Little Gilly was a little chilly…
.
.
…so the girls cuddled up a bit before going inside!
We rarely get snow in Quimperland so this is exciting!

The darlingest little warm clothing for staying outside as long as you can – and such joyful faces! taking care of each other. What FUN for all ages of the Hitty family-and-friends.
A profound thank you, every day, for the happiness you bring to us all, no matter what is going on inside – or outside – to stress us.
You are welcome! I remember the glee of my children on “snow days” – it is nice to be able to bundle up my dolls and take them outside for a gleeful time!
The skates on the puddle-pond were a delightful and sweetly surprisng touch – they pse so well for their photographer.
Thanks! Carrot Soup was glad she was the one whose feet they fit!
Carrot Soup’s skates are priceless, very Canadian! Love all the girls woolies. There were at least 2 dozen birds waiting at the feeder at 7:30 this morning – they are not accustomed to snow any more than we are.
I am glad you refreshed your supply of bird food! The girls love wearing their woolies – so few opportunities to wear their favourite woolen outfits – they usually need raingear in this climate!
Absolutely delightful! The girls are so sweetly bundled up in their woolies, and the skates are a fun detail!
South Coastal BC is not at all used to snow! We have fun when it does!!!
They all look so cozy and bright!
They are! Luckily I found all the Hitty mittens – but I think I will have to make a few more so they can swap them out when they get soggy!
What a delight for everyone-snow, skates, ice, sled, cuddling, cozy, colorful winter wear! You’ve turned a somewhat challenging day into a “let’s have fun” day. I enjoyed this narrative so much (as I do all of your narratives!)
We have to make good use of snowy days – they don’t come often, and usually don’t stay long! I am glad you enjoyed it along with us!
I think I had as much fun watching the girls in the snow as they had playing in it. Carrot Soup’s ice skates are incredible. Seeing Min pulling Gilly on the sled is so precious. They are sooooooooo adorable. Just love those girls.
I am glad you had fun we certainly did! The little skates are wonderful aren’t they? the girls have been waiting for two years for a chance to wear them – we don’t usually have the right weather!
All bundled up to brave the elements, Your photos are just delightful! Love all the shawls and wraps and coats!
We have an excellent trunk full of shawls, and several coats in the wardrobe…perhaps tomorrow some of the more sedate girls will get out and about in their specially fine coats and bonnets!
