Quiet Day in November
It is quiet indoors while a storm rages outside…
.
.
…Arianell worried that Floradora was lonely…
.
.
…and invited her to play…
.
.
Floradora wasn’t in a playful mood, but she didn’t mind company…
.
.
…so the two of them went off…
.
.
…to visit Jane in the kitchen!
.
.
The last photo gives me such a feeling of comfort and community. Thank you for the present and balm for the spirit.
Milk, cookies, friendship…I think simple delights are the best sometimes, when storms rage around outside…
Having tea with a friend is one of the sweetest things in life. Especially while a storm rages around us…. Here’s to the small and tender moments that give respite and resiliency to our days! Thank you!
Yes, exactly! I think resilience is built by many small encouragements!
A-w-w This story is so sweet. Good friends and family always end up at the kitchen table drinking tea and talking. I’m sure that Floradora felt much better with Arianell and Jane to chat with.
Don’t worry, Floradora is fine, she just preferred quiet at that moment..I used to tell people “I’m Not depressed, I’m Scandinavian”!
Love that!
Ooh, a cup of tea and a jam tart. Perfect for a stormy day!
Yes! Or tea and a jammy dodger…tea and a ginger nut, well tea and just about any kind of biscuit, there is something very satisfying about wrapping chilly hands around a mug of tea and nibbling on something sweet, especially when the wind is howling outside and rain lashing at the windows.
Dear friends and a cup of tea or two together…it seems like we females can gravitate towards that easily, especially these days.
Some day we will be able to have tea with human friends again…and in the meantime, Hittys are good companions.
yes tea and cookies with a good friend. how sweet!!! Hopefully we humans will be able to do that again someday!
It will take a while – some times it seems like forever…but one day we’ll have tea and treats with our human friends again…sigh.
