Frosty Garden
It’s cold out this morning, and there is frost in the grass…
.
.
...frost on the fence…
.
.
…and frost on the Rhododendron buds.
.
.
The little lupines are shivering…
.
.
…and the strawberry leaves are all fuzzy and frosty!
The morning is chilly! Floradora and Arianell didn’t stay out very long!

Brrrrr I hope the frost doesn’t harm the snowdrops.
The snowdrops are pretty hardy – I think they sometimes come up right through actual snow!
Love the girls explorying their frosty world. Frost here too!
It was a beautiful, if chilly morning…the world looked different while it was frosted, at least until the sun came up!!
Freezing but beautiful.
Exactly! the fuzzy frost spicules were so interesting, tiny stalactites and mites but they disappeared the moment the sun touched them. Such transient beauty!
Such beautiful light in these pictures
It was first thing in the morning, with golden sunbeams combining with pearly dawn light, just lovely… I am glad I am a morning person!
It’s 30 degrees in Melbourne today and I just love watching the Hittys in their warm wooden coats 😍
Oh my that sounds warmish…I am glad you could enjoy a little bit of vicarious frost – hope you have a cool refreshing drink nearby to prolong the feeling!
Oh dear…. poor little leaves and buds! It’s -20 here and fiercely cold. Such a shock after having had the warmest winter on record so far. I am not a fan of this deep deep cold!
Ah, Edmonton…it certainly has severe winters sometimes. I think the leaves and buds in our garden will survive…we’ve had colder weather here, it hasn’t actually gone below zero yet this winter.
