Snippet of string
Henrietta thanked Rose very nicely for her new pink socks…

…and asked for a snippet of leftover yarn.

Because all you need is a bit of string…
.
.
…a reef knot…
.
.
…and a friend…
.
.
…to play a game…
.
.
…of Cat’s Cradle!

Oh how delightful! I wonder if children still play Cat’s Cradle. I hope so!
I hope so too…I will ask the youngest human…and if not, I will teach her as soon as I can!
Fun! We played Cat’s Cradle a lot growing up-taught me by my father who had played it as a child.
What a lovely thing to learn from your father, he must have been a delightful person!
A lovely way to while away an afternoon with a friend!
Yes, they were glad to play together, and thanks to Rose’s activities, there is usually a bit of string lying around!
This is so sweet. I adore the way you photograph the girls. I’d forgotten all about the game Cat’s Cradle…we played that as children also. The pink socks look so pretty on Henrietta. Rose is so kind to everyone.
Thanks very much Mary Anne, the light was perfect, the string was there and the dolls were playing…so I grabbed my camera, and I am glad I did!
Ever so sweet! Such a nice way to recall that childhood game! Thank you.
Simple pleasures! My Hittys always seem to be able to find something to do!
