Your celebrations bring such joy to this Hitty household. Did the girls enjoy the bun?
The humans enjoyed theirs very much, and there wasn’t a crumb left of the Hitty’s either! Everyone decided we should make them again!
That photo of Constance pouring the glaze on the buns is amazing.
She enjoys all baking projects, and pouring on the icing is fun…it means they are almost ready to eat!
love the penny and the pence. Enjoy your buns.
After smelling that delicious fresh-baking scent all morning, the girls were willing to spend whatever they could find for a chance to taste the buns! Guttersnipe and Mudlark were glad to locate a penny that looked like the pennies they remember from their early days!
Delicious and delightful…..seeing Contance pouring on the glaze was wonderful.
It was exactly that – both delicious and delightful! Constance has a steady hand – she was just the right person to put the icing on those tiny buns!
Your dolly magic makes my heart sing! Thank you!
You are welcome! Usually at this time of year we go to all our favourite bakeries and do comparative testing – so far though we have enjoyed the home made ones so much I am not sure we will be going farther afield!
The Hittys really know how to celebrate – all and every festival!
The Hittys are very fond of festivities that involve delicious food…they fortunately also like to bake! Constance is a great helper and encourager, and she delights in sharing the celebratory food!
I am soooo craving hot cross buns now….. thanks so much for another lovely story.
We think this recipe is worth repeating! I wish I could share them with you…and you are welcome, I only wish we could have a cup of tea and a hot cross bun together!
