May Day Flowers
It’s the first of May – Vanilla saw pictures of flowers in her book…
.
.
…which gave her the idea…
.
.
…to collect her basket and gather some flowers for a bouquet.
.
.
She picked a little spray of this…
.
.
…and a few stems of that…
.
.
…and brought them inside to grace the Hitty table.

.
Happy May Day!

Thank you for your beautiful greetings on this beautiful day. I trust that you had pleasantness throughout your day.
We did have a pleasant day – the flowers are in a delightfully insistent mood at the moment, and like in the Hitty Book, all seem to be trying to bloom at once!!
Happy May Day! We don’t have flowers here yet, so it was a delight to enjoy yours!
I am glad you enjoyed our little floral excursion, and I am sure that now May is here, the Northern Alberta spring will burst upon you very soon!
She has a good eye for colour and scale! That’s the perfect Hitty-sized arrangement.
I was thinking how lucky we were, as we wandered the garden yesterday, looking for Hitty-scale flowers. The tiny flowers are often considered weeds, but they are so pretty when you can look at them up close. Looking at things from a Hitty-eye level is very illuminating some times!
I miss doing a maypole dance. I hate covid restrictions. Love how hittys’s enjoyed the day.
We might celebrate with a Maypole at midsummer this year, following along with the Swedish and Finnish parts of my family…I have often wanted my Hittys to try that tradition…maybe Mormor will encourage them this year.
It would be fun.
How lovely …a beautiful bouquet and the smiling face of Vanilla.
Vanilla is a smiler – she cheers everyone up every time she walks into a room – she just can’t help herself!
