Raspberry harvesting
It’s a hot day today, so Agathe got her big straw hat on before she fired up the tractor and drove it to our back garden…
.
.
…where Opal was busy raspberry picking!
.
.
Almost a punnet-full is pretty good for the end of the summer raspberries!
.
.
After that they sawed down the expended canes and the feeble ones…it was too hot to stay out, but they will help to tie up and thin them some time, perhaps tomorrow in the cool of the morning. With luck this will result in a late raspberry harvest in September!
.
.
Agathe drove them home again…
.
.
…where most of the raspberries turned into jam…
.
.
…but not all!
.
.
Yeah for dedicated workers! Your narrative today is very quaint in every way.
The hard work was amply rewarded by the satisfaction of a job well-done, and a couple of pilfered berries!
BRILLIANT! What a delight… vivacious joyful labour. Thank you – again.
Agathe and Opal are game to try anything – Agathe especially likes driving the tractor!
Another lovely post! Thank you!
It’s always fun when the Block twins go out to play – or work!
This is just flat out delightful!!! I am enthralled with their hats, tractor, wagon…everything!!!
The Hittys love their tractor especially…such a good bit of equipment, they couldn’t imagine farm life without it!
