Rainbow Garden Orange
The big clump of orange-flowered Crocosmia is glorious…
.
.
…the ones in the front yard have all been eaten by the deer, but we have them in the back too, where we can enjoy their pretty flowers and leaves. They will have to be divided soon or they will overtake the garden!
.
.
We hoped the Marigolds in the veggie patch would deter some of the insects from consuming our lettuces and other greens. We don’t know if it did or not…some of the marigolds were eaten too, but these ones stayed intact!
.
.
There are not many Nasturtium flowers left, but their seeds are all over the ground in our end of summer garden!!
.
.
The Human and a few of the Hittys are away for a few days, but the rest of the Hittys are looking for a rainbow in the garden…
.
Again, glorious colors in your beautiful garden. Can’t wait to see the continued rainbow colors.
We love all the different colours and combinations. Some times they are overwhelming, it is nice to just focus on one colour at a time
beautiful garden, red and orange they are so beautiful, I love these colours. Thank you, Love, nia
Thank you so much Nia, we have enjoyed the garden all year, and we love to see the turning of the seasons, and the garden blazing with colours before it heads towards the quiet time of the garden year.
Glorious orange flowers!! Such a joyous color.
We have so many pretty flowers and clumps of colours…the orange is particularly vivid just now…
Do the Hittys like to sip the nectar from the base of the crocosmia flowers? My mother had to stop us taking too many when they were in season because of the delicious sweetness.
They haven’t yet, but I am hoping they will learn how…perhaps young human will teach them?
