Knitting Hempathy
I found a pattern on Ravelry and bought some yarn…
.
.
…and began to knit…
.
.
The yarn is called “Hempathy” and is a mixture of Cotton, Hemp and Modal (a kind of Rayon)…so hopefully it will retain its structure, be cool and breathable and comfortable.
.
.
Floradora especially likes the colour (Ochre).
.
.
…and hopes there will be scraps!
.
.
Click here for the pattern, but note there may be a mistake in the pattern which I have alerted the designer about, and adjusted for myself.

Gorgeous colors, gorgeous yarn turned into gorgeous sweater and of course, gorgeous Floradora grace your habitation. Can’t wait to see if there are gorgeous scraps!
We are hopeful of scraps…I bought an entire extra ball more than the pattern called for – partly because I wanted to make sure I didn’t run our before finishing (especially because I tinkered with the pattern) but also because we we loved the yarn!
What a wonderful sounding yarn. I can’t wait to see the completed sweater. And yes, there must be some left over scraps, this is the perfect colour for Floradora to wear!
Floradora is very fond of the neutral colours, and would love a scrappy sweater. I am fairly certain there will be enough yarn leftover after I finish the human one!
That is a GORGEOUS sweater!! Beautiful pattern and wonderful color! You are SO talented!♥♥
Thanks! I am enjoying knitting away on these summer afternoons…and hope I will finish it before the autumn chills arrive.
It’s a lovely colour; I’d have said more cinnamon than ochre…
I have some wool very similar in colour, and it is called “Curry”. The colour names can be odd…but I like it whatever the label!
Beautiful knitting, I loved the colours too, I mean all colours in the photographs, especially the first one, put me in there too 🙂 Thank you, Love, nia
Thanks! We love using a bowl for our ball of yarn, and that blue one is such a nice colour, looks so pretty with the “Ochre” yarn!
love the name of this yarn….and I love the design of that lovely sweater/tee/top. I bet there will be some scraps to delight Floradora
The yarn is pleasant to work with, and we hope to be done the sweater/top soon!
