New Things in the April Garden
It’s been a cool spring…
.
.
…but the garden is waking up!
.
.
Some delicate single blossoms…
.
.
…and others in clusters and clouds! Vanilla has seen a few bees, and hopes for more!
.
.
Henrietta and Arianell wandered about in the tulips…
.
.
…they don’t mind a few drops of rain!
.
.
Perdita said the soil is too cool yet to plant the vegetable garden…
.
.
…but is pleased to see that the Good King Henry has overwintered really well and is thriving!
.
.
Over in a corner of the garden, Tansy has been helping the favourite photographer dig a new hole…
.
.
…everyone is excited about new things in the April Garden!
.
.
Lovely things in the garden and the dolls are dressed so pretty!
Thanks, Tierney! This season is so heartening, we are encouraged by all the flowers and leaves returning!
Your garden has so many very pretty colored blossoms in it! Will we get to see what is going to fill the new (archaelogically!?) dug hole? It’s an exciting time.
The new hole is in the process of turning into a new flower bed which will have a newly purchased Flowering Currant and red and yellow Columbine; an anemone from the front yard that the deer keep eating; and some replaced bluebells that were there already…I am sure you will get to see the results in a few days!
Such a beautiful time of year 😍
We are in my best time of year AUTUMN 🍂 & oranges and golds are popping all over our beautiful Melbourne 🤗
I’m planning on walking to our park at the end of my street to walk among the autumn leaves as there’s an abundance 🥰
I love autumn too – the glow of orange, gold and purples is encouraging in a different way!! I have never been to Melbourne but a relation-by-marriage lived in Bullengarook, and I’ve seen photos of her wonderful garden!
How I love the names of Australian country towns … definitely going to look it up and see if I passed it on my travels over the last 30 years 😍
My Dutch blood is shouting for joy at the sight of those tulips! I think the greatest downside of living in a tropical climate is that I miss out on all the lovely cool-climate spring flowers.
Those big yellow tulips are shouting right back at you! The Hittys have some very small red ones not yet in bloom, we are hoping to capture a photo on a nice day – soon we hope, though the weather is so unpredictable!
The garden and the girls are lovely…..so happy to see spring bursting forth for you and for us.
It is so very delightful when things begin to bloom and grow!
