Out like a lamb
February has been a month of surprises and changeable weather – it was more like March is said to be, and “came in like a Lion” …
.
.
…but is “going out like a lamb”!
.
.
Floradora exalted in the lovely afternoon…
.
.
…climbing up to the sprouting honeysuckle leaves…
.
.
…and visiting the incredible red anemone – beautiful all winter and perfectly glorious now.
.
.
Floradora visited her favourite tree (she is carved from a dogwood tree branch that came from Arkansas). These flowers won’t bloom until May or maybe even June…
.
.
…but sitting in the flowering plum tree, she is sure that she can feel the xylems and phloems moving sap from the roots to the tips of the branches!

I am seeing signs of Spring everywhere and can feel the energy rising in the land a myself. And we have had a few days of very welcome sunshine with warm days and frosty nights – perfect!
We are so so glad to see the sunshine and feel the warmth…it’s been a long winter!
It has indeed
I have signs of spring in my back yard too! (and at first glance I thought your anemone was a poppy!) I do so enjoy these lengthening days and the earth waking up!
We are amazed at the anemone – it has been just so beautiful off in the corner of our garden, but visible from inside…this red one is sometimes called the Poppy Anemone, so you were sort of right!
Dear Hitty Lady, isn’t it early for Spring? Actually not only for there, I can see all Spring signs in differet places too. Anyway, as always beautiful photographs and stories of them. I loved so much, Thank you, Love, nia
I think it is about the right time for spring here on the far west coast of Canada…much of the rest of the country is still buried in snow, but we are very very lucky and don’t see much snow here (usually!)
I see. Canada is a big country, usually we think that it is coldest and having snow for a long time… This is my less knowing. I am glad to hear Spring is there. Have a nice new season to you All. Thank you my dearest Hitty Lady, Love, nia
it is so lovely too see and feel the warmth and joy of Spring. Love your anemones.
I was so glad to be outside in the garden – it was even warm enough to have a cup of tea out there a couple days ago. The Hittys are always glad to get outside – Floradora is looking forward to getting her moccasins off and wriggling her toes in the dirt but there is a ways to go yet for that!
Goodness, so much of spring! We are still awaiting signs of life here in MO. Loved walking with Floradora
Floradora is glad you could come for a little walk with us in our garden – it’s so nice to have company, and sharing the wonders of the season with a friend makes it all the more delightful!
Thank you for sharing these gorgeous signs of Spring in your area. It does my heart a lot of good to see those lovely, lovely colors.
You are welcome – I know sometimes spring seems to take so long to arrive, I think we are all glad to see signs of returning light and hope!
Oh the red anemone – so beautiful! Looks like Floradora had a spectacular outing!
It was very special – the anemone was just amazing, and the last one on the plant has finally gone to seed after months of beautiful flowers!
