After working on Quadra Island for a month, Tansy and her Photographer had a very short visit to the Hitty cupboard. They were home just long enough to do some laundry and re-pack for another stint in Haida Gwaii. Tansy was itching to get back up there to meet her friends, and spend more time on a boat!
Gráinne likes the clothes I have been making for her, but she made a special request for an eighteenth century frock coat so she could feel like a real pirate. I could not resist the challenge, although it took a few days and a few false starts before I draughted a pattern that I thought would work…
A particular accomplishment is being celebrated today – Constance is baking a special dessert, but because it is mid-week, she is taking a few short cuts!
While Gráinne’s leg was being carved in Oregon, it fell on the floor as the ankle peg hole was being drilled, and the blow loosened the glue holding the foot to the leg. To prevent the foot falling off at an inopportune moment, we fixed it as soon as possible after we got home.
