Constance was carved in 2007 while I was on vacation in Turkey, I finished her when I was in Istanbul (formerly called Constantinople, which is why I named her Constance). She recently received a packet of beautiful things from a Hitty friend who lives in Istanbul!

Madame Owl and a friend arrived in pieces, two lovely kits made by Jenny Barnett in Anglesey. The kits have everything you need except for needles, thread and scissors. It wasn’t difficult to sew up the body and limbs…instructions were clear – I love the result! Thanks, Jenny!
But this post is not about the kits as they were new, not made by me and not scrappy at all! However…all their clothing is made of scraps including Mme Owl’s fluffy drawers made from an old curtain, with two added rows of Valenciennes Lace …
