What a wonderful use for your solstice kumquats. I bet they smell heavenly.
They smell nice while being made, and while they desiccate, they permeate the house with spice and orange scents…very heavenly!
Min and Carrot soup are adorable…their smiles are contagious. The kumquats make wonderful hitty sized oranges and the aroma of orange and cloves is so very Christmas. Thanks for this fun idea. You have a wonderful creative eye.
My plan had been to make marmalade, but the Hittys got there first! They are quicker to make, and quicker to dry than the big oranges, and the Hittys were right – this was an excellent way to preserve the solstice kumquats!
The Quimper girls are so creative!! I can nearly smell those lovely little kumquats from here!
They smell so nice – and I love dropping them into a vat of bubbling mulled cider…
