Stump Garden
Perdita went to the potting shed to pick up her watering can and rake…
.
.
…and made her way to the stump garden.
.
.
Last year we planted Nasturtiums and Snapdragons in the stump of our old apple tree…
.
.
…and this year there are lots of volunteer snapdragon seedlings…
.
.
…and a couple of Nasturtiums!
.
.
Perdita is delighted…
.
.
…her own little garden is coming back to life!
.
.
How lovely that Perdita has her own special garden. It looks to be a pleasant spot and will soon be filled with colorful blossoms. Her care and nurture will give her great return.
We were happy to see these wee sprouts growing all of their own volition! Perdita said it was like a gift!
I’m really enjoying these little outings, thank you
You are very welcome – Perdita is the little gardener of the Hitty family…she liked finding the new little volunteer plants!
how lovely to see Perdita out and about. Her stump garden is going to be lush!
We are not completely surprised, – we did hope the plants had left a few seeds behind! Perhaps the stump garden might be as delightful as it was last year!
I am so glad to see Perdita. She feels to me to be at home near trees and gardens. Her tree stump flower pot is so like her…natural, stunning and beautiful.
Perdita is quite at home in the garden – she spends most of the BC winter shivering indoors longing for Argentina where she was carved – these lovely lengthening sunny days are her absolute favourite season.
Perdita’s Nasturtiums have inspired me to get our Nasturtium seeds into the ground- our neighbour gave us some seeds last fall and it is time, finally, to plant them! đŸ™‚
Hooray! We love nasturtiums, they are so pretty, and trail around so sinuously. I hope yours grow and thrive!
