Monochrome
Fall can be a rather monochromatic time of year…
.
.
…so the girls went outside looking for colour…
.
.
…they searched about in ones…
.
.
…and twos.
.
.
Viola found some colour!!
.
.
The girls ate the late ripening raspberries…
.
.
…and since fall is the time to get the quilts out, they found some more colour indoors!
.
.
Your QHs found some very pretty colors. When they looked, it was there. The monochromatic dresses surely helped bring out the color.
Thanks! We rather like the brownish tinge of the dry grass, and shriveled leaves at this time of year…the girls love the beige/tan/brownish dresses, almost camouflage!
Is there anything more uplifting than spending time with our Hittys? With the world the way it is at the moment, I don’t know what I’d do without them and our wonderful Hitty friends. Treasure hunting for color, pretty fabrics to make quilts, and cooking goodies is the best medicine of all.
We do certainly agree with you, spending time with Hittys is a healing activity for this family! I like the idea of treasure-hunting for colours, I hadn’t thought of it that way, but that is exactly what the girls were doing, and the raspberries were a great reward!
Lovely photos, lovely girls!! The Quimper Hittys are lovely in monochrome!!
We think so too, and half of the dresses are thanks to you, so thank you!
That was fun to scroll through – great photos
Thanks…it is a monochromatic time of year!
