A Favourite Tree!
Floradora came on an expedition with me…
.
.
…she climbed up a special tree…
.
.
…and looked for a good spot…
.
.
…to sit and admire the dogwood buds!
.
.
This is a special tree for her, because of being carved from Dogwood branch that broke off of a tree!
.
.
The buds are small and lumpy but they will make sweet and beautiful pink blossoms…
.
.
Floradora is so happy – the last time we visited this tree was in June last year, when she was no-longer-tree, but not-yet-doll.
.
.
Goodbye for now!!
.
.
The intrepid explorer has such pretty footwear!
She does! They are the beautiful slippers we bought in Whitehorse, made by a talented lady Mrs Beverly Kitli.
Floradora was so lucky to get to meet a relative and to re-connect with her roots!
Floradora was glad to visit the tree now that she is a “real Doll” instead of a blank “almost doll”. The tree seemed willing to have her climb around in the branches, and admire the bumpy buds!
Oh what a touching story. To be able to have Floradora climb her parent tree is so special. It looks to me, like she is very very happy in her new life as a Quimper Hitty.
Floradora is glad to be a Quimper Hitty – she has potential blank/block sisters who she hopes to meet some day! Their blanks are from the branch of a dogwood tree in Arkansas, but she is very glad to meet a tree-ish cousin here in Victoria!
What a wonderful way of living on 💝
It is!! We are so glad that Floradora is enjoying her new life as a Quimper Hitty!
How sweet! Flora Dora is a credit to her wood! She is so pretty. Plus I love her hooded sweater!
Thanks! I am sorry I didn’t see this till now – It is almost time to visit the tree again this month!
Charming.
Thanks! Floradora loves visiting this tree, it makes her think of her natal tree several thousands of miles distant.
