A Daffodilly Day
It has been a while since I made a pleated Pinafore…

…but Floradora was very pleased with it!

She collected her hat…

…and trotted out to the garden.

Floradora adored the two daffodils in this windowsill pot…

.
…and this golden cluster…
.
.
…what a lovely daffodilly day!

Such a lovely color for a pinafore. The yellow hat is awfully pretty also. You could easily get lost among the daffodils looking so much like one yourself.
The scrap of green brought daffodil stems to mind, so naturally she needed a little yellow bonnet with a daffodil upon it!
So, so pretty is Floradora. Aren’t those yellows in your photos so utterly enthralling? It’s hard to stop looking at the life they exude.
I’m so glad you think Floradora is pretty…this is her first ever spring as a doll, and she is truly enthralled! Sometimes I wonder if she has any memory of being a tree, if her little xylems and phloems quiver with longing to be out in the balmy air of spring.
The glorious sunny yellow is a wonderful boost to one’s energy! Her whole new outfit is just wonderful!
We love the colour too, in flowers that glow, in bonnets that shade and in the lovely spring sunshine that we see between the clouds and showers of March!
Floradora looks like a beautiful daffodil in her beautiful new green pinafore and lovely yellow bonnet.
Floradora is so happy that you think she looks like a daffodil, she couldn’t help herself when she got her pinafore and bonnet all buttoned and tied in place – she trotted straight out to the garden and made herself a friend of the host of mini daffodils!
As always your pinny is wonderful and that hat!! I am in love with the hat. The style of it, the shape, the decoration! Perfection.
We had a hankering to make a pinafore not using a hanky for once! It was fun to dig around in the scrap bag to find a daffodil stem fabric, and we were extra glad to find the untrimmed yellow bonnet to pretty-up! Floradora is a happy girl!
Floradora rivals the glorious real daffodils in her sweet daffodilly ensemble!
