Allspice Girls
Flame and Forest rolled the jar of Allspice Berries…
.
.
…to the mortar and pestle, and poured some in.
.
.
They pounded and ground the berries…
.
.
…until they were very well powdered…
.
.
…then Forest set up the funnel…
.
.
…and Flame helped pour the spice into the jar.
.
.
Now they are ready to do some cooking!
.
.
Oooh, what are you making girls?
I hope you will show us soon!
Many of our seasonal recipes have a mixture that needs Allspice in it…recipe coming up!
Since they worked so hard grinding the allspice berries, I would assume they would come up with something that will take industriousness, persistence and patience. Thanks for exhibiting those strong qualities to us, little gals.
I think many of our favourite recipes take a bit of patience and time…this Allspice is needed for tomorrow’s recipe, which is needed for the following day!
The house must smell delicious now!
It surely does!
I can’t help but see a beautiful and touching relationship between you ‘k’ and “F” when I look at Flame and Forest. You are the grandmother every one wishes for…and “F” is the granddaughter every one hopes to be blessed with. You are not only giving us sweet and lovely stories but I thank you for sharing your family with us also. Love You.
You are welcome for my part…I feel like the lucky one, for many reasons, including that young human’s Parents have given me permission to share pictures of our fun!
I love the smell of allspice when it is freshly ground. So yummy! I love the new dollies, too. I can just picture them buzzing about the forest… watch out for the sparks. 🙂 ❤
This would be a good time to visit the forest with an incendiary friend…everything is very soggy after a tremendous rain storm! We love allspice too, and freshly ground is best of all!
I love how these two always look as if they’re working in a slight breeze because of their flying ribbons!
I love it too! The ribbons are very animating!
what a charming pair of workers! I am sure they will create something spicy and yummy!!
