Mixed Spice Girls
Flame and Forest contributed their hand-ground Allspice to Willa and Jane’s project…
.
.
…it was an essential ingredient for their special Mixed Spice recipe!
.
.
Willa helped Jane get the rest of the ingredients and equipment together…
.
.
…then Jane put the mortar and pestle to good use again, and ground up some mace…
.
.
and supervised Willa doing the same.
.
.
There are so many beautiful colours of brown!
.
.
…and they smell so good…we recommend using fresh spices if at all possible!
.
.
One big jar, and one small one – ready for the upcoming seasonal baking!
.
.
The recipe says to put into a sealed jar and store in a dark cupboard, but we are going to use this mixture almost right away…

K, your dolls are just the best little cooks!
We are always happy when the dolls get into the kitchen!
Your house must smell divine! đŸ™‚
It does…sniff, sniff sniff! We love this time of year!
Willa found a wonderful home. She looks so happy.
Willa is a darling, we love having her in this cupboard, and just know she is going to be a cheerful girl with smiles for all!
I can almost smell it from here! What generous little girls. I am sure Jane will create something wonderful.
Almost the spice combo I use for pumpkin pie minus mace and coriander. I’ve never seen mace here.
Mine came from France!
The Quimper Hittys have the most adorable kitchen things–love their mortar and pestle, whisk, and bowl. Such industrious little girls they are!
