June Garden Delights
Agathe and Opal helped collect the garlic scapes (which will be fried in butter and mixed with pasta – yum!)…
.
.
…and the bolted sorrel stalks…
.
.
…which we donated to the appreciative ladies next door!
.
.
Then they picked lettuce…
.
.
…and climbed up sunflower 1 (now ten and a half Hittys high)…
.
.
…and sunflower 2 (Agathe thinks it is trying to start a flower)!
.
.
They rewarded themselves with a few warm sweet strawberries!

Those hard working Hittys!
Hmm..I suspect there is always tasty food at your home – I can smell the garlic scapes and pasta coming out of your kitchen 🙂
Well, not always! But the pasta and scapes were pretty good!
the girls are definitely enjoying the garden and all the yummy produce.
The garden is our little sanctuary – it changes so quickly – one week waiting impatiently and the next week everything happening at once!!
They’ve been busy enjoying your beautiful garden. It’s nice to see them enjoyin life.
We love spending time in our garden, somehow every little effort is returned in beauty and deliciousness.
Thanks for the reminder! I need to do something with my garlic scapes 🙂 Lovely post! Your photos always makes me smile.
I am sure your scapes will be as delicious as mine were! I am glad you smile…
Love Agathe and Opal delivering treats to the ladies next door. Their sunflower is sky-high already. Glad they found some Reward Strawberries!
The sunflowers seem to be happy in their big flowerpot! The soil dries out pretty quickly though, Opal and Agathe have to watch carefully and bring buckets of water every day!!
How lovely to see the Hittys enjoying the garden and helping their humans!
The Hittys love working and enjoying the garden and the humans certainly appreciate their help!
