Back to the Cupboard
After three weeks away while helping a relative in need, Coriander, Floradora and the human returned to the Quimper Hitty cupboard last night. First thing we did was to put all our clothes into the wash…
.
.
….and go to the closet for a change of clothes! It was summer when we left but fall when we returned – long sleeves and warmer outfits are needed now!
.
.
Then it was time to bestow our souvenirs – a new old lamp for Mormor (who appreciates having more light so her older eyes can see better when she does her handwork)…
.
.
…and a lovely big bottle of fresh creamy milk for the kitchen!
.
.
Then we opened our mail, where we found a lovely surprise gift from our Hitty friend Tierney…
.
.
…she sent us a stack of pretty fabric and a lovely card…
.
.
…we were so glad to help our relative during a stressful time, but it’s really nice to be back in Quimperland!

It’s always nice to come home after a long time away. Also…that dress with the crab!!! 😍😍😍

It is nice to be back! The crab dress is made from a Liberty tana lawn fabric with an Alice in Wonderland-themed print, called “Theo”.
I absolutely love it! ❤️❤️❤️

nice to know that you are home safe and sound. I’m sure the entire cupboard was cheering.
There certainly was a lot of chatter coming from the cupboard when we got back! It feels like a lot of things have changed in the garden since we left – high summer to suddenly fall! I am glad I went but it’s good to be back.
Welcome home! Your Quimper family and friends (including me) will be happy to have you back. I’m sure your relative will miss having you there.
It was good to be where I was for a while, but we are happy to be back in the cool coastal climate! And looking forward to walks with friends, morning swims and doing ordinary things with Quimper Hittys and humans alike.
We happily welcome you back. You were missed!
Aw thanks. We were glad to spend time on the shore of Lake Superior. I lived in the twin cities for three years as a child, so I remember some things on a visceral level (like muggy heat leading to thunderstorms, which we don’t have on the west coast). It was very nice to spend time, even difficult time, with my relative.
Wellcome back dear Hitty Lady, Thank you, Much Love and Hugs, nia
Oh good I am glad it arrived and welcome back 🙂
Welcome home!
Thanks so much, we are really glad to be back in the cupboard again!
Good to get resettled again after an unexpected time. Mormor will appreciate the lamp this winter.
Mormor thinks the lamp is the Bee’s Knees!
You’ve unwrapped some lovely gifts to welcome you home, along with the always-necessary laundry chore after travel. I’m glad you could help a relative in need. Welcome home.
