Coating the Wood Panelling

The freshly sanded bare wood needed a coating so it would be less susceptible to staining – Arianell and Vanilla helped me decide which wood treatment to use..

Base Boards
Miter Box
More cutting up of popsicle (lolly) sticks…these cuts needed to be quite exact, so we first tried using a quilting ruler and a craft knife. We got a nice clean angle but it was very tedious and made holes in our craft mat…Favourite photographer loaned us his miter box which worked quite well.

Tipsy Limbers Up
Boots
Legs and feet were roughly carved separately…then pieces assembled with tape and temporary pins, to make sure the feet ended up on the right legs, in the right position, and facing forward! They were glued into place and dried overnight…
