Agathe and Opal are making a special Fat Tuesday pancake…The recipe to feed two is: two eggs, half a cup of milk, half a cup of flour – that’s it. It is easily doubled for four people.
To make the pancake, first turn the oven on to 400 F, put a couple of Tablespoons of butter into a frying pan, and the frying pan in the oven while it comes up to temperature.
The Quimper Hitty Human loves knitting, knotting and generally playing with string. Fortunately the knit-along mystery shawl from Isolde on Ravelry is keeping us busy while our friend recovers from a flood in her loom room…Other aspects of life have kept us very busy around here and both Hittys and knitting have been somewhat neglected, but we’ve managed to accomplish 18 of the 22 rows in this week’s clue!
Recently a Quilt swap occurred over in the Hittygirls doll group. The Quimper Hitty cupboard received this gorgeous little Hitty-Heart quilt, and love every one of its four inches to bits.
Little green-dress Half-pint girl is on her way to her new home in Washington DC. She is taking along a funny unpainted wooden couch, with burned-on speckles and words.
One of the Quimper Hitty’s friends has sent a wonderful parcel to us, containing some absolutely wonderful hand-made baskets. She knew they would have a good home, surrounded by people large and small, who appreciate and value them…
The knit-along mystery shawl from Isolde on Ravelry is getting so big, it is hard to show the pattern repeats, but I like what I see as it emerges! The Hittys are resigned to it not being a doll-size shawl and are happy to cuddle up in the cosy knitting.
