Opera Singers are less imposing when not on stage.
Constance finds doing research beforehand adds to the enjoyment of the experience. She has read the story, listened to the music and was lucky enough to meet Siegfried during a backstage tour.

She really did go to the Met, but that picture was posed – we actually had Standing Room tickets. That is not going to happen for Götterdämmerung, which is six hours long!
Hitty Constance is lucky to be able to see The Magic Flute Opera in New York and I am so proud of her because she did her research as well. She is one special Hitty.
She is good company, and unlike my kids, she never threatens to turn the radio off during Saturday Afternoon at the Opera.
