Summer Peas
A pile of pea pods from the market!
Perdita found it a bit overwhelming…
…but she set to work with a will…
…and soon had a pile of empty pods…
…and a bowl of fresh peas for dinner!
Happy first day of summer to our friends in the Northern Hemisphere, and best wishes for a joyful and productive winter to our friends South of the Equator!

How lovely – peas already.
Ours aren’t even in flower yet. We can’t plant out until the end of may as we are prone to frosts until then.
Enjoy!

Yes – it feels like summer today! Fresh peas, sweet peas, and summer sunshine!
Perdita in the Peas…and looking like a picture in her pretty dress…bet she got it on “sail”…And sweet peas, too! I can just breathe it all in. Does Perdita still have her “holy wood” aroma?
Perdita is fond of her Tana Lawn dress – sadly it was not on sail! Luckily only a tiny bit is needed when making a Hitty dress! And also sadly, her sweet aroma has dissipated 😦
These are lovely photos and a challenge to me to set to things with a will. Thank you, Perdita!
Perdita says you are very welcome – she is pleased with herself for getting through such a mountain of peas, and we appreciated her help!
Delicious!
They were!
I have a special love for Perdita. The light in these photos shows her beauty. She looks fully focused on popping out those sweet peas. Yum…I bet she can just taste them in her mind. The green color palette is perfect for her skin/wood tone. Just lovely.
It is a lovely time of year – summer light is special, and Perdita gravitates to greens of all kinds!
Perdita photographs so nicely with that bowl of lovely peas. very nice…so summery!
She does! Happy first day of Summer!
Yummy! I love fresh pea’s!
We do too!
The photo of Perdita and the pea pods made a colorful, beautiful picture. She is very pretty.
Thank you – Perdita does seem to gravitate to green vegetables, and I can’t help reaching for my camera when she does!
Perdita is quite the worker…that is a lovely pile of peas….ahhhh summer produce!
We love peas!
