January Buds
Ginny didn’t find a lot going on outside in the garden…just some little purple buds in the lilac…
.
.
…and some tiny yellowish ones in the Witch Hazel.
.
.
The Purple Azalea looks a bit more promising…
.
.
…the early Pink Rhododendron too, though it is a bit late this year…
.
.
…but look what is going on inside!!!

Life renewed…beautiful.
In this grey and drear weather, it is hard to believe there will ever be flowers and leaves again – but then there are all the tiny buds!
nothing is budding here yet…still a lot of winter to get thru. Nice to see that things are a bit further along in your part of the world.
Winter does go on and on, doesn’t it? I am glad we don’t have the deep chill, nor the snow, and that there is evidence that life is only dormant in the garden.
Ginny and I must be kindred spirits. I was down by the creek looking for buds today myself. The witch hazel looks promising.
You and Ginny are definitely kindred spirits – all but her right arm, and that is as close to a kindred spirit as I could make it!
Ginny and you live in a wondrous part of the Earth. Thanks for sharing It’s wealth with us.
We do feel lucky to live here – relatively mild and not at all frozen most of the time!
Wow, buds already!
We are ahead of the rest of Canada. I find the grey wet stormy winters quite an ordeal to get through sometimes, but there are benefits!
